Respecting the artwork and using minimal typography is my main goal in designing for artists and art galleries. The choice of font and scale, along with the precise placement of elements, is everything. These full-page exhibition announcement ads ran in major art magazines such as Art in America.

A modernist layout for this upscale furniture design company. This is one of a campaign of monthly print ads we did together, along with designs for a stationery system, a press brochure, postcards, and sketches for a coffetable book.

POSTER for REALLY, REALLY FREE MARKET

Organized by the local COOP,  the Ventura community gathers in the park each year to create a collective awareness through recycling, sharing and giving. The event creates a true "gift economy" by freely giving unwanted stuff, games, food, talents, skills, services and entertainment. The poster design reflects the montage of items and inspirations one might find at this event. In keeping with the collaborative spirit, I was hired by the COOP through the Ventura Timebank, where payment is in hours that can be used to hire the services of others.
